Culture exchange between students of LHU and Handong Global University

Recently, Bien Hoa King Sejong Academy in association with the Department of Korean Studies, LHU organized a cultural exchange program between students of LHU and students of Handong Global University, Korea. The program lasted four days from January 24 to 27, 2024 at the 2nd campus of LHU.

During the 4-day program, students from both universities discovered and experienced many meaningful and exciting activities revolving around the cultures of both countries.

On the first day, the students learned dramas and participated in "K-Beauty" experience. They also learned how to use beauty products, jointly shared experience and techniques to have bright and smooth skin. Additionally, they joined hands to make tteokbokki and rice cake soup, the two traditional dishes of Korea.

The second day continued with exciting experiences. The students immersed themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of traditional Korean fan dancing. Activities such as Kpop dance, Taekwondo martial arts created a lively and intimate atmosphere for students from both universities.

On the third day, the students from both universities dived into exciting exchange performances learned in the two previous days.

The last day, students of the two sides visited Ong Pagoda in Bien Hoa city, one of Vietnam's intangible cultural heritages. Here, they learned the history and architectural style of the pagoda, and discovered unique features in architecture and sculpture. The delegation after that were very excited to visit Truong Thanh pottery village, discovering and experiencing the local traditional pottery making process, from preparing clay to firing and decorating.

The friendly and open exchange provided students with the opportunity to share knowledge and experience each other's cultures. It also created unforgettable memories and strengthened solidarity among international students, opening up opportunities for them to experience and discover new things in life and study.
