Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics receiving the Prime Minister’s certificate of merit, 2018 - 2023 period

The Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics (LHU) has the function to teach training majors assigned by the Rector; advise and assist the Rector in training programs, class organization, curriculum development; carry out scientific projects, technology transfer and others directed by the Rector.

The Faculty now has 36 staff members, including 2 Associate Professors; 5 DSc, 19 MSc, 5 engineers, 4 PhD students and 1 postdoctoral student. Due to its staff with both quality and quantity and a highly united collective, the Faculty always fulfills its educational and training tasks, building an ideal learning environment for students.

The Faculty's training quality is demonstrated through both domestic and international outstanding achievements such as: 2 projects honored in the Vietnam Golden Book of Innovation in 2018 and 2020; a Second prize in the 2020 National Technical Innovation Contest; 2 Consolation prizes at the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award 2021,...

In the recent five years, the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics has been a leading unit in the Dong Nai Technical Innovation Contest with 3 First, 7 Second, 2 Third and 7 Consolation prizes; wining 2 First, 4 Second, 5 Third and 7 Consolation prizes at the “Promoting Innovations and Creativity in Labor and Learning” Program. In the 2022 - 2023 school year, the Faculty won 1 Second and 1 Consolation prize in the contest "Application of renewable energy and solutions for economical and efficient use of energy in production and life" in Dong Nai province. With its strengths in science and technology, the Faculty has gained many high results at the Students with Startup Ideas Contest, Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest, Shell Eco-Marathon Asia and among others. Every year, it has many research projects published in domestic and international journals.

The Faculty's training activities always adhere to the motto of combining theory with practice, strengthening collaboration with businesses to facilitate students' practical approaches and job opportunities. The Faculty's Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology has officially received ABET accreditation (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology)

According to the general development orientation of the University, the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics has continuously improved and enhanced its training quality in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training, AUN-QA, ABET; regularly urged and created conditions for lecturers to improve their qualifications and complete assigned tasks. All members of the Faculty have constantly gained experience, upgraded their skills as well as applied modern technology to teaching activities.

With the results achieved from the 2018 - 2019 to the 2022 - 2023 school year, the Faculty of Mechatronics and Electronics has been appraised for excellently completing its tasks, winning the title of Excellent Labor Collective and receiving many certificates of Merit from Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee. Recently, the Faculty has been honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister according to Decision No. 114/QĐ-TTg dated January 29, 2024. This is a meaningful encouragement for all members of the Faculty to continue to improve the quality of education and training, contributing to enhancing the LHU's reputation, meeting the society's need for high-quality human resources.
