MPharm. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung among 8 Seed Grant Winners at 2023 STIC conference

• MPharm. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung - lecturer, Department of Analytical Chemistry and Drug Quality Control, Faculty of Pharmacy, LHU has been named among 8 Seed Grant Award winners to receive the prize worth 12.500 USD in the framework of STIC project.

STIC (Science, Technology, and Innovation Cooperation Program) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, and implemented by Arizona State University (ASU). The Program aims to strengthen science, technology, and innovation cooperation between the U.S. and Southeast Asian countries.

Joining the Program, participants were provided online training courses, focusing on 3 main groups: Science and Technology (S&T), Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) and Professional Certificate Programs.

70 participants who excellently completed the courses in both S&T and E&I tracks were sponsored to attend the STIC annual conference. Among these, the top 8 projects will be supported with a budget of 12.5 thousand USD each to implement their ideas.

Four best projects in the S&T track  

With the project "Research on herbal medicine for liver cancer treatment", MPharm. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung has successfully conquered the Seed Grant Awards. She said that it took her nearly two months to complete courses and challenges from STIC before being listed among 70 projects sponsored to participate in the STIC conference.

Currently, Tuyet Nhung is continuing to strive to complete her experiments to soon put the product into practice, opening opportunities for liver cancer patients to live longer.
