The evolving landscape of education necessitates novel approaches

As artificial intelligence rapidly evolves, higher education must adapt. This raises the critical question: Are educators prepared to transform their assessment practices to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by AI?

As stated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Rector of Lac Hong University, "AI has the potential to revolutionize education by empowering teachers to create more sustainable learning experiences for future generations, without replacing the irreplaceable role of human educators."

In response to this pressing question, Lac Hong University organized a workshop titled "Redesigning Assessment in the age of AI ," which served as a new direction for higher education. Held on the afternoon of November 14, 2024, the workshop brought together 200 delegates, including digital transformation experts, quality assurance officers, and lecturers from 11 universities. The event provided a platform for sharing experiences, exchanging ideas, and exploring innovative approaches to education in the 4.0 era. Notably, the workshop featured expert speakers such as Dr. Tran Duc Linh from RMIT University Vietnam, Dr. Le Phuong Truong from Lac Hong University, Dr. Jean Luc Marcellin with over 35 years of experience in Canadian universities and international organizations, and Master Moussa Traore, a consultant for organizations like UNESCO, ECOWAS, and the World Bank.
