Seminar to enhance the teaching of Chinese, Japanese, Korean languages and job opportunities for young people in Dong Nai

Under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee, LHU in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training on December 14, 2024 successfully co-hosted a seminar entitled "Solutions to enhance the teaching of Chinese, Japanese, Korean languages and job opportunities for young people in Dong Nai in the new phase". The event took place at Dong Nai Radio and Television Station.

Attending the seminar were Mr. Nguyen Son Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Vietnam - Japan, China, Korea Friendship Associations in Dong Nai province; representatives of departments, agencies, universities, colleges and high schools in Dong Nai; representatives of the consulates, business associations of China, Japan, Korea in Ho Chi Minh City; along with prestigious speakers in education, language, career orientation; parents and students.

The seminar aims to provide a forum for researchers, scholars, managers, and businesses to discuss and share ideas about job opportunities for young people in Dong Nai province in the new period. It also gives Dong Nai students and youth a deep insight into the demand for human resources proficient in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean in the new phase.

At the event, Mr. Tran Xuan Tiep - Deputy Head of the Department of General Education and Continuing Education under the Provincial Department of Education and Training, presented on “Solutions to enhance the teaching of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean languages at general education and continuing education institutions, contributing to improving the efficiency of human resource training". Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh - Vice Rector of LHU delivered a presentation titled "Current situation and solutions to enhance the teaching of Chinese, Japanese, Korean languages for young people in Dong Nai province". Mr. Nong Van Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also gave a presentation themed "Job opportunities for young people in Dong Nai province in the new phase", focusing on industries and careers requiring foreign language skills.

In the context of strong globalization, equipping young people with proficiency in foreign languages such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean has become an urgent necessity. This is not only a critical factor in expanding career opportunities but also a foundation for the strong development of economic, cultural and technological fields in the new era. 

The seminar is not only an academic event, but also a launching pad for the dreams and aspirations of an entire generation of young people. LHU, as a co-organizer, is committed to building an advanced learning environment, equipping Dong Nai students with essential skills to confidently conquer the international labor market. Young people with language proficiency will easily seize job opportunities from Japanese, Chinese and Korean businesses.
