LHU joins Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Association

Accepting the invitation of Wenzhou University of Technology (WZUT), Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang Oanh - Head of the Office of International Affairs, LHU visited and attended the 2023 Lancang-Mekong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Forum themed "Building the Mekong dream and sharing the future" taking place in Wenzhou, Zhejiang China from October 19 - 21, 2023.

The first conference of the Lancang-Mekong Countries Entrepreneurship Education Association (LMCEEA) and the 2023 Lancang-Mekong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Forum with the theme "Building the Lanmei dream and enjoying the future" was co-chaired by Zhejiang Province's Department of Foreign Affairs and Department of Education and hosted by WZUT. 

LMCEEA, established by a number of universities in 6 countries: China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam aims to promote the entrepreneurship spirit among young people in Lancang-Mekong Countries. This is the operating mechanism in entrepreneurial education. Association members will jointly build an academic exchange platform, visit to share experience, build entrepreneurial education programs,... This is a mutually beneficial cooperation mechanism via multi-stakeholder cooperation to build a high-quality startup cooperation forum for youths of the Mekong River countries. The Association also strengthens collaborative projects on social entrepreneurship and poverty reduction as well as fosters the sustainable development of regional countries.

At the conference, LHU was elected to the Permanent Council of the LMCEEA, thereby opening the door for extensive cooperation with partners of Lancang-Mekong Countries, and creating a strong premise to develop international entrepreneurship throughout the University in the coming time.
